McNEELEY POUNDS AWAY

LOUISVILLE — Peter McNeeley of the Whitman-based South Shore Boxing Club knocked out Quinton Hardy at 2:50 of the first round last night in a heavyweight bout at Louisville, Kentucky.

The victory lifted McNeeley's record to 30-1 with 24 knockouts. Last night's KO was his 17th in the first round.

The card was held at the Louisville Gardens, located on Muhammad Ali Drive, before 1,400 fans.

McNeeley will next be in action October 8 at the Whitman Armory against an undetermined opponent.
