Awesome coolness! The Hurricane ROCKS!!! It is 2005, Time to get your ass back in the ring bro! Brandon Bennett <bennett84@hotmail.com> Los Angeles, CA USA - Thursday, January 27, 2005 at 17:08:54 (EST) Peter, I was very distraught to find out you disconnected the Hurricane Hotline phone number, it was very informative in keeping your loyal fans up to date with your life. Also, it was a good way of letting you know about promotions/parties that are taking place and require your attendance. Hope all is well with you and I hope the Hurricane will be back and better than ever. HotDog Wilson <hotdogwilson@gmail.com> South Boston, MA USA - Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 10:42:43 (EST) Love your webpage, I think it is the bomb. DOWDY!!!!!! <NIGNOG100@aol.com> Malden, MA USA - Thursday, November 18, 2004 at 20:09:19 (EST) ....I dug up your website because every now and then, when my buddy and I hear someone say the word "hurricane", we find ourselves rudely interrupting them with the question "who, Peter McNeeley?". With the recent weather down south, your name's come up quite a bit lately. Given that you've become somewhat of an inside joke to us, I'd thought I'd check out your website for a laugh. After reading interviews, your responses to e-mails from kids, etc. I've got to say that you probably deserve a lot more credit and respect than what I imagine people, the media, etc. have given you over the years. Seriously. You're alright, brotha. Greg Harrington <GHarrington@bostoncolorgraphics.com> Boston, MA USA - Friday, October 25, 2004 at 15:37:15 (EDT) HAPPY BIRTHDAY (October 6). I've heard it from quite a few people on the Cape but can't seem to confirm anything. I have my doubts since there's been zilch about it on this website. Plus, if it were true, McNeeley would be the draw and you'd expect his name to be plastered all over everything. I went to buy tickets, but girl said she couldn't say for sure if Peter was fighting. What's up with that?? Is it all a mistake or maybe somebody's just using McNeeley's name to sell more tickets. I would appreciate a response. Thanks. Nick Meyers West Barnstable, MA USA - Thursday, May 13, 2004 at 17:03:39 (EDT) Reply from Owner: Peter isn't fighting on that card in Hyannis but he will be making an appearance since it is being promoted by his manager, Vinnie Vecchione. Pete will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs. He's back in training and getting ready for a return to the ring early this summer - probably in Boston or Cape Cod. Details will be posted on the website as soon as plans are finalized. Thanks for writing. - Dan Nice site... I learned a lot. I've always admired Peter McNeeley for his courage (the man's got balls!) but most of what I knew was based on one fight, against Tyson. There's a lot more to the Hurricane than most boxing fans are aware, like that 6 second K.O., the U.S.B.F. heavyweight title, all that charity work, etc. When's your next fight? Paul Ropecka Abbey Hill, GA USA - Friday, April 2, 2004 at 13:32:44 (EST) Whooooooo Whooooooo!!! That Peter McNeeley is one hunky stud!!! You rock my world, baby! That led me to this great site, which I have added to my bookmarks! One question, though: when will Peter be back in the ring? I sure hope he hasn't retired the ol' gloves and trunks yet! DAVID REYNOLDS <dr@beatdown.com> henderson, nv USA - Tuesday, February 03, 2004 at 00:46:13 (EST) In response to your kind e-mail to a Mr. Peter McNeeley on 1-25 I would like to respond by saying that you haven't the faintest idea of what you are talking about. You obviously caught him while he was in "The zone". I am sure that if you had approached him at any other time in his life, he would have extended his hand in friendship to you. I can only imagine the numbers of people pawing at him just prior to the most single most important night of his life. When your in the zone, your in the zone. I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it- you just caught him at a bad time. So, if you want to harbor a resentment- feel free. But remember a resentment is like shiting your pants- your the only one who feels it. Only kidding -- how are you doing? This is Bruce Foster, the referee in Raleigh North Carolina. I did one of your early fights at the Ritz, in Raleigh. I now have my own TV show in Raleigh. It is called "Inside the Ropes " with Bruce Foster. I do interviews and show fight clips. I would love to have you as a guest some time! Even better - I hope you can get to Raleigh again to fight. We have a new arena that holds 15,000 to 20,000 people. We have had over 4,000 the last three fights. What you have done with your life and career is great. But please don't fight again! I don't want to see you hurt and not able to enjoy the rest of your life. Boxers never seem to know when to hang up the gloves! It is the fights at the end of your career that end up doing the most damage. You are 33 now. If you ever connected with that left you threw it would have been lights out. The best was when you got hurt you were professional enough to know to run to the corner to get away. You did look a little heavy though I think you should work hard and get back in shape. Don't listen to that jerk Bernstein, you should be fighting for the title. God bless and keep on jabbing maybe I'll see you at D'angleos in Medfield some time. Joe Village <village97@prodigy.net> Massachusetts, USA - Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at 19:51:38 (EDT) Hello Peter. Here's a 3-part question I have always wanted to ask a top fighter. Could you please describe your emotions/state of mind: 1) The morning of a big fight, 2) In the dressing room before a fight, and 3) Walking through the crowd to the ring for a big fight. I'm interested in the emotional process of preparing and participating for a bout. Thanks a lot and best of luck with your career, Hurricane. I've got a question about that "breaking news" teletype on the first page. It says Peter is supposed to fight on March 15. Is there any more information available? I would happily make the trip to Boston to see Peter fight in person. Thanks. Brett <Thumper359@aol.com> New York, NY USA - Saturday, March 09, 2002 at 16:31:31 (EST) Reply from Owner: Sorry, Brett. It doesn't look like Peter will be fighting on that card after all. He is very disappointed because it is a benefit for firefighters and policemen affected by the World Trade Center bombing and he really wanted to participate. His manager Vinnie Vecchione is one of the primary organizers of the event. You may still get a chance to see Pete in action, though. He's hoping to fight in Worchester, MA in the near future. He's in good shape, has been training hard, and is anxious to get back in the ring. Hopefully we will have something to announce soon. - Dan I'm been a big McNeeley fan for years but I just found out about this website. What can I say - I absolutely love it! Thanks. -- Steve Steve O'Brien California, but originally from Hanson, MA - Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at 16:21:15(EST) Reply from Owner: The one that starts out "I'm Hurricane Peter McNeeley from Medfield, Mass., on Saturday night watch me kick Tyson's ass..."? I'm not sure if that was one of Pete's better efforts, but - hey - at least it rhymed! Here's a link to an audio clip taken from that press conference. - Dan We are a manufacturer and exporter of boxing and martial arts equipment. We would be thrilled to provide supplies for the great boxer Hurricane McNeeley and his fans! THE HURRICANE WILL KNOCK YOU OUT, AND SO WILL OUR BOXING EQUIPMENT! Thank you very, very much my wonderful American friends. MUHAMMAD ASIM <info@romaif.com> SIALKOT, PUNJAB PAKISTAN - Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at 04:49:32 (EST) First of all I think Peter McNeeley is the greatest. Tommy Morrison is another one of my favorites. I was wondering if Pete is very good friends with Tommy? If so did they ever spar?? Man, what a combination they would be!! Thank you. Jay McCoy <jmccoy@apex.net> USA - Saturday, February 09, 2002 at 12:35:21 (EST) Reply from Owner: Pete has met Tommy a couple times and says he's a good guy. As a matter of fact, Pete's sixth pro fight was at Foxwoods on one of Tommy's undercards and was televised by ESPN. Both scored early knockouts: Tommy put Kimmuel Odum away in the third round and Peter stopped Jerry Arentzen in the first. Click here for a picture of Pete and Tommy shaking hands. - Dan Cheers to one of my favourite fighters, Hurricane Pete, the KO-meister! Glad to see your still at it, sir. I'll be sure to tip one in your honour at the Bull Moose (local pub) tomorrow night. Danny Caswell <Glbshpnet@aol.com> Beaumont, TX USA - Tuesday, January 08, 2002 at 15:53:25 (EST) Peter, you are an agressive and exciting fighter with heart and balls to spare. I enjoyed looking over your website and learned a lot more about your career. Good luck in your next bout, man. It would be great to see you in action on TV again. Keep your dukes up, Hurricane! Robert Perrelli <rperre2@rolo.com> Spokane, WA USA - Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at 12:26:48 (EST) Congratulations Peter, you have been officially proclaimed as a "Hot Jock" by the Southern California Man Watchers Society. You have replaced former title holder Oscar de la Hoya as the top Hunk in Trunks in the professional boxer category. Poor Oscar looks like a preadolescent boy in comparison! Other runners-up include: (#3) Roy Jones, Jr., (#4) Lou Savarese, and (#5) John Ruiz. Evander Holyfield has been bumped from the Top 5 to make room for the new king! Most appreciated Peter McNeeley attributes include ruggedly handsome good looks, hunky build (impressively muscular but not a steriod-pumped "freak of nature" caricature) and overall cuteness, with extra points given for that fabulously furry chest and torso! Oh yeah, a couple of us also appreciate the fact that you are college educated! Stay sexy and healthy Peter, and always remember to protect the face at all times! - Carol, Cindi, Kim and Pat I've heard a lot of rumblings about Peter fighting a title match against Legends Heavyweight Champion Larry Holmes. What a match up! I think it would be like a Holmes vs Cooney bout, very exciting and action packed. I bet Peter would love this fight. Any news on when it will be happening? A man as man should be. I too am boxer myself. It is a lonely and oftimes brutal sport but no other sport can bring the compare of accomplishment or personal reward. You train hard and box world wide. I have great respect the Hurricane opinion please. You train hard and box world wide. I bring to your attention a complex of training devices by means of which it is possible to master art of boxing quickly and without traumas. A photo and details are on this Web-page. I should like to find out your opinion on these developments, sir. Whether exaggerations in the description of their advantages are admitted? What their defects there are? Peter, I was really impressed with the way you handled yourself in the Tyson fight. Clearly you have no fear in the ring!! With those big cojones and your punching power you could have pulled off the upset of the year. It was great to see that you have a video clip of the entire fight right on your site and I was able to watch it again! I love how you charged right at Tyson, throwing bombs and backing him up!! The pace of the fight was unbelievable while it lasted. You stunned him with a couple decent shots during the melee, but didn't connect with one of the big bombs. There was a LETHAL left hook you barely missed with in the opening seconds that probably would have decapitated Tyson and ended the fight right there!! One thing I forgot was how Tyson jumped in and threw the big uppercut that put you down IMMEDIATELY after Mills Lane ended the break and before you got your concentration back on the fight. Seemed kind of dirty, but I guess that's what a boxer is supposed to do. Next thing you know, your manager is in the ring and you are disqualified! As for the fight, the speed you two guys went at it was killer. You were the aggressor (against Tyson!) and doing great. It looked to me like you just needed to take a step back, slow it down just half a beat to get into your natural rhythm - then you see the split-second opening and connect: POW!! Ah, well, easier said than done - everybody's a Monday morning quarterback! Let me just say it again: you aquitted yourself very well under tremendous pressure. I'm glad to see you continue to have a successful boxing career and have built a loyal fan base. Good luck with your future fights. Doug Dunton Beaver, PA USA - Friday, February 09, 2001 at 23:05:37 (EST) I love to watch you fight, McNeeley. You are a ballsy brawler who likes to slug it out toe to toe and let the leather fly!! Bombs away!! None of that pussy dancing around, holding on or running away for the Hurricane! I know you get lots of shit from the boxing press but you'll always be a favorite of mine. Keep banging out those KO's!! Mike Veronisi <mlv@mindspring.com> Orlando, FL USA - Wednesday, January 17, 2001 at 13:54:32 (EST) Peter and Dan, Good to see you guys Friday night. Aina Langdalen <ainalangdalen@c2i.net> Jessheim, Norway - Wednesday, December 01, 2000 at 10:52:54 (EST) You were so funny when you were in Denmark to fight Brian Nielsen! Reminded me a bit of myself. I could hit as hard as mule, but I lost a couple on the road - always giving the crowd a show. Keep on fighting. Keep in shape, chin down, jab and hook. Only drink beer (carlsberg) and if you take care of the brunettes Ill see what the blondes wanna do with me. Claus Holmen <holmen@12move.dk> Denmark - Thursday, November 30, 2000 at 05:15:22 (EST) Hurricane, you are favorite heavyweight fighter and I am glad to see you will be back in action soon. I met Peter many times and found him to be a thoughtful and genuine person. I wish him well with his struggles over addiction and believe he has been treated extremely unfairly by the press. John S. Meade <john-meade@hyannisMarina.com> Brockton, MA USA - Wednesday, September 20, 2000 at 13:55:28 (EST) Go Irish!!!! Mike Brennan <mbrennan@omnidirectmktg.com> Corona, CA USA - Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at 08:00:56 (EST) Peter, you are a gutsy and courageous fighter who isn't afraid to get in there and brawl with anybody; my kind of fighter! Its nice to know that when you pay to see a Peter McNeeley fight you will get an action packed slugfest, not a ten round dance with two big guys holding onto each other or prancing around and landing the occassional pitter-pat jab. You are a proud link to the great Irish-American boxers of the past. Bobby PS Good luck with your next fight Peter. I hear it might be with Larry Holmes: its time to retire that loud mouthed and racist old geezer for good! Having read the comments posted by John Thomas I felt compelled to throw my two cents in. I feel Mr. Thomas hit the nail right on the head. Peter McNeeley is much better than they give him credit for BUT, to really do anything more than be a good journeyman fighter he needs to train with some top quality trainers and coaches. Peter is tough, shows great courage and , yes, some skill, but he is greatly handicapped by not working with the top names. I also think he has the stuff to be a great fighter but will sadly not get the chance. Peter will continue to have a decent career. He's got the right pigmentation and the All-American boy looks and , let's face it, America will always be interested in a white heavyweight who can punch. I , too, would like to see hime be more than that. If he stays off drugs and works with the right trainers Peter McNeeley could surprise a hell of alot of people. Brett <baacon3i6@aol.com> Chicago, IL USA - Friday, August 18, 2000 at 18:51:32 (EST) Peter "the Hurricane", It is good to see such a nice website has been set up for one of my favorite fighters. From what I hear you have not always had the best training or conditioning, but you are an agressive and hard working fighter in the ring and always come to fight. That makes you an exciting boxer to watch. You have very good KO power and that is a necessity in the heavyweight ranks. In my humble opinion, some sparring with top caliber heavys and work with the true top trainers of the sport (like Lou Duva, Teddy Atlas, or Kevin Rooney) coupled with your proven heart and dedication could make you a real top ten fighter who could be matched up with anyone out there. Now that I know about it I will be sure to keep checking back to "Hurricane Watch" for the latest news. Any upcoming fights lined up for the near future? Good luck with whatever comes your way. Peter, you must be the sexiest boxer in the division!! I cannot even think of a close competitor. WOW, talk about animal magnetism!! I find myself fantasizing about how nice it would be to snuggle in that gorgeously hairy chest of yours by a fire in a little ski cabin some cold winter's night!! See you in my dreams, big fella! Denise S San Diego, CA USA - Wednesday, August 02, 2000 at 18:04:48 (EST) Very impressive stats. I just wanted to let you know that I think you're a good guy and I know you are going to win the fight. Congrats on your six month anniversary! PS I got a message that we couldn't connect with the server so if you are getting this twice consider it deja vu! The site has come a long way! I have enjoyed all the updates. Craig <Zapper555@aol.com> Lowell, MA USA - Friday, June 23, 2000 at 13:17:33 (EST) I came an hour and half to see your fight against Butterbean - OOOPS, I mean Joe the cop!!! Chris Falco <billfalco@email.msn.com> Hingham, MA USA - Tuesday, June 20, 2000 at 16:02:39 (EST) Thanks for your message, Dan. I counted at least 4 times that Siciliano was knocked down. It all happened so fast. Peter obviously had control of every second of the match, and Joe couldn't possibly move fast enough for this fight. And your right, Joe does have a lot of heart even to step into that ring with such a seasoned heavyweight. Hats off to Joe Siciliano for taking an opportunity most of us wouldn't even consider. Just saw your fight last night against Joe Siciliano. It ended a little too quick though, the poor guy never stood a chance. Hard to believe that Joe actually trains, huh? Good Luck in your next match. Lance <PLanc326@aol.com> Leominster, MA USA - Sunday, June 18, 2000 at 16:17:50 (EST) You are bad ass, Hurricane! Good luck in your upcoming fight. My friend Peter Ficco would really like to hear from you, maybe you can Email him. I was thinking, your next fight could be at Franklin High School. They have a pretty big field house. Peter Ficco knows some people over there and he could probably make it happen. Do you think you could ever get a rematch with Tyson? He's pretty out of it, you would have a way better chance this time. Peter would be thrilled if you ever fought around here, he would love to hang out with you after the fight. You guys could go to the AAC in Milford, no one would mess with you two. Good luck in your net fight!! Rock on 'Cane. Jeff Kubant <jek39@hotmail.com> Goleta, CA USA - Sunday, November 21, 1999 at 11:27:54 (EST) Can't say I'm a fan but will give you credit for having the balls to go toe to toe with Tyson for 89 seconds. Still, I loved those Pizza Hut commercials. Mike <eightynineseconds@yahoo.com> Brooklyn, NY USA - Tuesday, November 16, 1999 at 21:14:33 (EST) Tom McNeeley is my dad's cousin. As a relative of the hammerin' Hurricane I find this site very informative. I've never met Peter, but his father is great. You should include more about Tom's fighting record on this website. Also it would be cool if there was information on other great Irish boxers like John L. Sullivan. Keep up the good work. Go Hurricane!!! Henry Mahegan <henry.mahegan@mail.trincoll.edu> Marblehead, MA USA - Monday, October 25, 1999 at 14:57:12 (EST) Great site dedicated to a great guy.....keep punching Peter, one day at a time. You sure look great. Katie O'Connell <snuk53@aol.com> Millis, MA USA - Tuesday, October 19, 1999 at 14:57:12 (EST) Excellent site!!! I especially like how they linked your ring record on the Stats page to pictures of your fights. Great touch! I am a big boxing and wrestling fan and I don't think I've ever seen that done. When will pictures by added for the rest of your bouts? I hope you plan to add them all. Keep up the good work, both here and in the boxing ring. I love your courage and how you always come to fight! Go, Hurricane! Ken <ken.yuki@researchcap.com> Utah USA - Friday, September 17, 1999 at 12:32:57 (EST) Hi Peter! Nice site you got here. But I wonder when you will fight again and who is the next! So please email me when you know....Thanks Ricky Nilsson <Runforfun@hotmail.com> Stockholm, Sweden - Tuesday, September 14, 1999 at 12:44:41 (EST) Cool site! America loves a big white boy heavyweight who can punch. When will we see you back in the ring? I like the fight pictures on your website. Keep knocking out those niggers. He may take a loss now and then, but Peter McNeeley will always be my favorite fighter. He's a natural badass who always comes to fight and he's got BALLS OF STEEL!! Go get 'em, Hurricane!! Big John <bigjohnb@hotmail.com> Sharon, PA USA - Saturday, August 21, 1999 at 11:48:51 (EST) Hi Peter, Hope you are doing well with the training. Please let me know exactly when your upcoming fight will be. Just give me a call and I will do my best to make it. Dan is doing a great job with your web stuff but you need to also write a personal message to your fans. They all have such nice things to say to and about you. Keep the faith Peter and stay cool. I hope to hear from you soon, you handsome devil. Inez B. <ibullock@bu.edu> Boston, MA USA - Tuesday, August 17, 1999 at 13:50:23 (EST) Awesome website, it rocks my world!!!!!!! Good luck in your next fight and whatever else you do. Toni Lake <ctlake@sovernet.com> Bennington, VT USA - Saturday, July 24, 1999 at 12:03:19 (EST) Peter, good luck to you in your next fight. I say that because someone who loves something as much as you love boxing would NOT give it up. I hope to meet you at the event you will be attending in Maine. Good luck and train hard!! P.S. GREAT WEBSITE!!!!!!! My husband and I saw the replay of your fight on Showtime. We wanted to send you a message of support - you are a very good fighter: do not let this loss get you down or make you doubt yourself. Al and I saw you fight in KC and we know what you can do. Both of us agree that the weight disparity between you and Butterbean was a tremendous obstacle. If you do get the rematch you want, I think you'll surprise a lot of people. Keep your chin up, Peter. Pamela Sheridan PS - Excellent and truly informative website. I have a suggestion for you: it might be nice to have Peter himself write up a message or greeting to the fans who visit these pages. He seems like a very interesting and intelligent young man. I, for one, would be very interested in what he might have to say. Just an idea. Thank you. I am an 18 yr. old male in Kansas City and definitely a McNeeley supporter. I have been training at home to box, but I really don't know where to go from here. At 6'2"/ 225 lbs., I feel that I have a world of potential that is going to waste, but I have yet to find any assistance in locating a good gym / trainer. To make a long story as short as possible, I was wondering if you could provide some insight into how I could get started as an amateur boxer. I have given some consideration into entering a local "Toughman Contest", however I haven't thought this idea through yet. Would entering an event of that sort be a good place to find contacts in the world of boxing? Thank you very much for your time, and may you continue to hand out ass-whoopin's for many years to come!! Hi Peter, it's me - Katrina. How are you?? Me, I guess I'm okay. You are a very nice guy and I'm glad I got to know you. You have been a very big inspiration to everyone here. Don't ever let anyone make you doubt yourself - you are a good man and you need to keep strong. Just go out into the world and show everyone what you're made of. You may have lost a big fight but that don't mean S***! You tried and that's all that matters - it wasn't your night. You have alot of fans out there in the world and you should never be underestimated. YOU ARE THE BEST BOXER OUT THERE AND DON'T EVER LET ANYONE TELL YOU DIFFERENT. Hope the years ahead are fun ones. Please keep in touch and stay level headed. Gotta go. Love always, Katrina. PLEASE E-MAIL ME BACK WHEN YOU GET A CHANCE! Bye. Katrina Odoardi <Short6962@hotmail.com> Cape Cod, MA USA - Friday, July 02, 1999 at 17:57:35 (EST) Sorry about the fight, Hurricane. Looks like you never got going but you should at least have gotten the chance to get your head together and come out smarter in the second! On the replay I see you were actually blocking most of those shots at the end. I say the ref screwed you good. He can't say he didn't know the round was almost over because the 10 second warning was clearly audible. Also, what's his beef with your corner right before the fight? I'd say you were not going to get any kind of break from this guy whatever you did. Bean was better than I thought but I still think you could take him in a rematch if you fight your fight instead of his. Keep your chin up and don't get that day job just yet! What the h@ll was that SH#T?!! That ref should be arrested! I hope someone called the cops cuz you was robbed. Carter Guilford, CT USA - Monday, June 28, 1999 at 08:36:03 (EST) Bad call by the ref! You were ripped off. So were the fans. I bought the whole event for this fight and I want my money back! They owe you a rematch, Hurricane. What a joke. John Decorah, Iowa USA - Saturday, June 26, 1999 at 20:51:07 (EST) The website looks great. I see that Dan finally got the guestbook started! I am glad to see that you have so many people supporting you - you really do deserve it. I will be talking to you soon. Classy Lady Boston, MA USA - Friday, June 25, 1999 at 15:15:27 (EST) Pete, Very impressive site. Good luck this weekend. Brother Mike and I will be in Dallas Saturday watching and supporting your ass. Take care, buddy. -- Junior Junior USA - Friday, June 25, 1999 at 11:51:49 (EST) Great website! Awesome graphics! Hurricane, you are the best! Kick ass all over ButterBALL Saturday night! Rick Chicago USA - Thursday, June 24, 1999 at 17:24:47 (EST) Good luck against Butterbean. I hope you knock him on his fat ass! Us Texans are rooting for you all the way. Troy Gaines San Antonio, TX USA - Thursday, June 24, 1999 at 14:05:42 (EST) Hurricane Watch was mentioned on the boxing newsgroup and I was really happy to find out that my favorite fighter has his own official website. Good luck in VEGAS. I'm sure you won't have any trouble whooping Butterbean's ass! Brian <Brian19705@aol.com> Buskirk, NY USA - Thursday, June 24, 1999 at 12:38:05 (EST) Followed your career - you are a real inspiration.
